At the heart of my work is a deep desire to communicate through my personal lens.
I believe that seeing is an art form and that sometimes we forget to look.
.
I am fascinated by people and their stories.
In my portraits I always convey both the story and the emotion.
I invite you to take a look and see the possibilities I create for everyone differently.
Workshops: THE ART OF SEEING
This is my favorite workshop where I make people understand the camera and much more. I mean more about how you are in life. What do you see or what do you want to see. Very interesting to learn more about yourself through photography.
I have taught at universities in Europe and the United States.
*Also online since 2021*
WORKING AS A FREELANCER
I take on freelance photography assignments all over the world and I always bring my vision.
The Art of Seeing
It doesn't matter which camera you use.
I will guide you to create different images in a short time, update your style or find a method that suits you.
I would love to teach you my unique techniques.
What I can do...you can too!
The day will be filled with a lot of information about photography, carrying out assignments and receiving feedback.
Possibly visit an exhibition.
A print of 1 photo 18x24cm is included in the price. This will be printed later in your presence or not.

My favorite moments are creating your story.
For your website or as a portrait. During this session I will take you to places that fit your style.
It is always an honor to capture your story in images.

As a member of the AWCA I had the privilege to follow an on line/zoom program with Brigitte during the last lockdown. She gave us over a period of three sessions several tasks that made you look at your home environment in a very different way. The feed back was very useful and inspired by the sessions I signed up for a nature /street photography course with her.
The nature photography took place in the Hallerbos and we explored the beauty of that area through the lens of our camera’s. Brigitte showed me how to experiment with different settings on my camera, how to take several pictures of the same image before deciding on the best one, how to look at the same object but from a different angle, and how to make a picture concentrating on one thing.
The street photography took place around the area of her studio, and the task was to focus on one object. I choose to focus on bicycles, still and in motion.
Again a very informative, inspirational and educational session with a talented teacher and very appreciative student.
My love and interest for photography has been rekindled after the quality time spend with Brigitte

"Brigitte's "Art of Seeing" workshop was a lot of fun. She made me take a picture of a candy bag and some extinguished cigarettes on the street. This was a great idea of you. I remember her words: "Look Philippe what a mess people leave behind". This makes her unique."
Philippe, Belgium
"The magic is that Brigitte guides everyone individually. She made sure that I could take beautiful photos in just 10 minutes on the manual mode with one lens."
Willem, Belgium
Tuesday I followed a photography workshop with Kato. I found it quite exciting because I had never done this before. My dad often takes pictures, but I didn't know how it worked exactly.
Brigitte taught us a lot that day.
We started learning photography in the morning. She showed us that sometimes you have to look at something from a different perspective. And that sometimes you can make a nice photo of a detail.
After that we also started taking pictures outside.
Finally, Kato and I were allowed to choose our nicest photo and that photo was printed in a very large size.
I was very happy that I was able to follow this workshop and will definitely take more photos.
Thank you Brigitte!
